1. NightFest
Not even coronavirus can stop NightFest - it just looks a little more like NightFeast this year. This year Floriade's dark side will give Canberrans the chance to enjoy a feast at different restaurants and eateries across the capital as they dish up bespoke, spring-inspired eats. Foodies will be treated to food and wine under the stars from The Pop Inn, ice-cream that tastes like the essence of spring at Frugii, seasonal flavours from Poacher's Pantry, Oktoberfest at BentSpoke, and more. For those who want to celebrate at home, there are also NightFest at home packs that are full of goodies from local producers. Join in on Friday evening at various locations and times. Go to floriadeaustralia.com/nightfest for the full list of participants or to order an at home pack.

2. Let's get physical
Grab your fluro leggings, belted leotard and lace up your sneakers (complete with leg warmers) because 88mph is bringing back the 80s aerobic workout. Instructor Becky will be taking inspiration from all your favourite workout personalities such as Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda with jazz hands, grapevine, Egyptian, the pony, and more. Make a night of it and book a booth where you can enjoy refreshing drinks and colourful cocktails before the class. The fun will begin at 4.15pm on Saturday. Tickets are $24. Bookings are essential at 88mph.bar.
3. On stage
Founding member of The Seekers Keith Potger will be joined by local singer Lucy Sugerman for a musical feast this weekend. Sharing their love of music and songwriting talents, Potger and Sugerman will treat the audience to their tunes, mixed with their favourite covers and Seekers favourites. The Sunday Session will be in Tallagandra Hill's new event venue with the musicians on stage between 3.30pm and 5.30pm. Tickets are $42.23, with bookings made in groups of four from Eventbrite.
4. On screen
Now to a man who needs no introduction - which is probably why he broke records when he joined Instagram last week. David Attenborough has spent his 93 years visiting every continent on the globe, exploring the wild places of the planet and documenting the living world. This weekend you can see him talk about the defining moments of his life as a naturalist and the devastating changes he has seen in a special screening of David Attenborough: A Life on our Planet. Sunday, 2pm. Dendy Cinemas Canberra. Tickets are $19.50 from dendy.com.au.
5. Under the stars
Head out to Lake George Winery for a Night Under the Stars on Saturday, at 7pm. The private stargazing event will be led by the Canberra Astronomical Society, who will be using Mount Stromlo's outreach telescopes. Tickets are $90.76 for the event or $122.41 with wine and nibbles from Eventbrite.
