The night works will be undertaken between 8pm and 6am, with the noisiest work scheduled for before 11pm.
Weather permitting, the night works are expected to be completed after the two nights.
Northbound lanes on Northbourne Avenue will be closed to the public while works are under way with detours in place.

Road users are urged to follow signage and obey traffic controllers.
The works will also affect public transport with bus diversions and pedestrian crossings on Northbourne Avenue closed with detours.
Cyclists will be able to use the off-road footpaths while the on-road cycling lane are resurfaced during the roadworks.
After the night works, timed lane closures will remain on the stretch of Northbourne Avenue between Macarthur Avenue and Mouat Street.
Between 6am and 3pm, one northbound lane of traffic will be open, while two lanes of traffic will be open between 3pm and 6am.
The night works will focus on the final stages of road resurfacing including temporary line marking, following work into the removal and repair of road pavement, kerbing and stormwater drains.
Meanwhile on October 6, day works will be undertaken to create formal line marking. Murdoch Street will be closed in both directions between Goodwin Street and Northbourne Avenue.
Access to Murdoch will be granted to residents and construction vehicles only.
