Now Canberra Royals and Gungahlin Eagles fans are scrambling to get their hands on a ticket as the two clubs vie for ACT rugby union's crown.
ACT & SNSW Rugby Union has been cleared to have 700 spectators on field one, and 250 spectators on field two at Viking Park.
The exemption sees Viking Park effectively split into two separate venues with each game treated as its own individual event. Officials will ask fans to exit the venue following the match they have a ticket for.
Participating clubs will have an allocated amount of tickets per game which their supporters will be able to purchase.

For example, the Eagles are playing in the John I Dent Cup, second grade and third grade grand finals. Officials say the club has been allocated 125 tickets for third grade, which will be played on field two, with opposition Wests allocated the other half.
Gungahlin have also been allocated 300 tickets for first grade and second grade, which will be played on field one. All other teams playing on the main field will be allocated the same.
Field one will host the first grade, women's, second grade, and colts grand finals. Field two will host third and fourth grade deciders.
Remaining tickets not handed out by clubs will be sold to the public on Friday morning. There will be no walk up ticket purchases and no pass-outs.
