Police say they arrested a 44-year-old Giralang man at a home in Coombs on Wednesday, and charged him in connection to the aggravated burglary.
They say the 44-year-old man entered a residence in Flynn at 12.20am on September 25 and tried to steal money while the resident was sleeping.
"The man awoke and confronted the offender who proceeded to attack the victim leaving him with stab wounds to his torso before fleeing. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at hospital," police said in a statement.
The suspect was remanded in custody. He will next appear in court on Monday, November 9, and faces charges of aggravated burglary with intent to cause harm, theft and intentionally wounding.
