Police allege the 17-year-old attacked several cars on Chandler Street and the window of an Emu Bank restaurant, between 6.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday night.
Witnesses said he fled to John Knight Memorial Park when police arrived just after 9pm.
A Taser was used when police later arrested the teen in the park.
The 17-year-old is expected to face the ACT Children's Court on Thursday charged with five counts of property damage and one count of possession of a thing with intent to damage.
