The United mentor will spend the next three weeks working to fill the remaining spots in her W-League squad, with 11 players already committed for the 2020-21 season.
Midfielder Ashlie Crofts and Isabella Foletta were unveiled as Canberra's latest signings on Friday morning, the former returning for her second season with the club.
Crofts played nine matches last season and scored against the Newcastle Jets on her starting debut. Linton is looking forward to working with the 22-year-old, having been impressed by her NSW Premier League campaign with the Blacktown Spartans.
"It's good to retain players like that, bringing them back into the squad so we have consistency from last year coming into this year," Linton said.
"She's one of those players that's always there on the spot to score or create something. I want to see how that translates for us, our style of play and team structure.
"The pre-season will be really good to try and bring all these different players together and see how it all fits. That's the important thing, individual attributes but how they fit into our style of play and how we're trying to play."
Foletta has committed to the capital after a two-year stint with Perth Glory. The 20-year-old defender has only played five W-League matches, having been ruled out of the 2019-20 season early with a hip injury.
Linton cited the Perth native's ability to play multiple positions in the back third as an appealing attribute, saying she'll bring versatility to the roster.
"I think she brings some versatility to us, she can play on either side of the field. She can play in a more attacking role or a defensive role," Linton said.
"Great physical attributes, I'm really looking forward to seeing what she can bring, where we can fit her in and what she can contribute."
Canberra United 2020-21 roster: Grace Maher, Laura Hughes, Rachael Goldstein, Lauren Keir, Hayley Taylor-Young, Nicki Flannery, Bianca Galic, Clare Hunt, Jessika Nash, Ashlie Crofts and Isabella Foletta.
