Raiders enforcer Josh Papalii joined the Queensland squad on the Gold Coast on Sunday, catching a flight up with Immortal Mal Meniga and good mate Dunamis Lui.
Meninga's going up to be Wayne Bennett's assistant coach, with two of Queensland's greatest rugby league minds set to form a supercoaching duo.
Between them they've won 14 Origin series from 17 attempts.
Papalii felt it would enhance the Maroons' chances of breaking their two-series losing streak when Origin I kicks off in Adelaide next Wednesday.
When asked which jersey meant more - the Raiders or Maroons - Papalii said both got exactly the same Papalii.
It means he'll be trying to produce the same dominant NRL performances we've come to love - only for Queensland instead of Canberra.
Papalii's set to play his 16th Origin game having established himself as the best prop in the world.
"It's just a bit different. When you're playing for the Maroons you're representing the whole state," he said.
"In that sense none is more than the other.
"At the Raiders I represent the Green Machine and then when I go to the Maroons it's the same thing for Queensland.
"There's no favourites. It's just whatever jersey I have on that's who I represent and try and do my best for."

Papalii said Meninga's addition was "pretty cool", but he was still more excited about meeting Bennett, having somehow managed to avoid doing so until Sunday.
The 28-year-old said the NSW Blues deserved to be favourites, having won the past two series.
But Queenslanders wouldn't have it any other way. They love nothing more than wearing the underdog's tag.
He hoped the Bennett-Meninga tag team would help the Maroons cause an upset.
"I hope so. It's been a real tough two years and it'll be nice to try and get the shield back to Queensland, but that's going to take a lot of hard work," Papalii said.
"Those two are highly regarded in the Maroons team for a good reason as well. Those two working together will just make the Maroons squad a lot stronger and smarter.
"I think rightly so - NSW winning the couple of series it'll only be right that they're the favourites. That's not going to matter when you're playing footy [though]."
He also hoped those two coaches might conspire to allow him to run out alongside Lui, his great mate at the Raiders.
"It would be special. Playing a lot of footy together now and pretty close off-field," Papalii said.
"It would mean a lot, but that's up to the coaches."
