Rushton's expected to land in Australia December 5 and should be able to start training after he's completed quarantine two weeks later.
Raiders recruitment guru Peter Mulholland made the revelation on Green Machine fan forum The Greenhouse's Facebook page.
Canberra were unsure whether they would be able to bring the second-rower Down Under this year due to the 32,000 Australians currently trying to get home.
