Police allege 42-year-old Frenchs Forest man Benjamin Ladd was working at the nursing home on May 1 this year when another carer saw him commit an act of indecency against the woman.
Police said the alleged incident was immediately reported to centre management, before it was reported to them a short time later.
Mr Ladd appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday and was charged with one count of committing an act of indecency, which he pleaded not guilty to.
Police said their investigation leading to the charge included forensic and DNA testing.
