A father and son have been charged over a nail gun attack in Taylor on Saturday night.

The 49-year-old man and his 20-year-old son allegedly armed themselves with a nail gun and left their McCredie Street home about 11pm on Saturday to confront a group of people having a party at another house in the street.
Police allege the two men fired several nails at the group and the other house, before the 49-year-old man allegedly shot a 40-year-old man in the head with a nail from close range.
The victim and the two alleged offenders then had a brief struggle before the victim and his group retreated inside their house and the father and son returned to their house.
Police attended the scene a short time later and found the 40-year-old man with an injury to his forehead, as well as a large number of nails from a nail gun around the front of the residence and in the street.
The alleged offenders were arrested at their property and are expected to face ACT Magistrate's Court on Monday.
The 49-year-old man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, act endangering life, and possess offensive weapon.
The 20-year-old man has been charge with possess offensive weapon and affray.
