There's a real life party at the 15th Floor QT Lounge to virtually celebrate the Australian Women in Wine Awards, champagne in hand, friends at your side.
The Australian Women in Wine invented the online wine awards back in 2015, and have been streaming it live across the world for the past six years.
Presented by Langton's television from its Sydney studio from 7.30pm, there'll be celebrations at QT from 6.30-9pm. The Zoom event will be hosted by comedian Merrick Watts.
Kick off with champagne from Jeepers, official Champagne House of the AWIWA on arrival, matched with fresh South Coast oysters, then we go on a journey of incredible wines of previous Australian Women in Wine Awards winners and matched small dishes. A winning night all round!
The night will showcase past winners from the Canberra district. Sarah Collingwood from Four Winds Vineyard, who won the owner/operator award in 2017 will be there with her riesling. Vanya Cullen, 2019 winemaker the year, can't make it but her Cullen Amber Wine will be served. Sarah McDougall, who won the owner/operator award last year will be there and you'll get to try the recently released Lake George Vineyard Weerawaa red matched to individual cheese platters.
Capitol Bar and Grill executive chef Josh Smith Thirkell will serve up some substantial canapes.
Tickets are $90.76 from eventbrite which includes the food and drink and there'll be a lucky door prize too, a bottle of the Jeepers sparkling.
