1. Canberra Aqua Park
Canberra Aqua Park is making its return to Lake Burley Griffin's Black Mountain Peninsula this Saturday. The inflatable water obstacle course will see you climb, splash, slip and slide your way through it. With slides, ladders and everybody's favourite, the jumping pillow, Canberra Aqua Park is one of the coolest ways to beat the heat this summer. The course will be out until the end of January. 2. Tim Freedman
Lead singer of The Whitlams Tim Freedman is bringing one of his rare solo tours to The Street this weekend. As well as reinventing classics such as Blow Up the Pokies, No Aphrodisiac and I Make Hamburgers, Freedman will launch the band's new single Ballad of Bertie Kidd, a six-minute caper that describes an escapade from one of Australia's most notorious criminals. 3. Fearless
TEDxCanberraWomen is back to celebrate some of Canberra's most extraordinary women with the latest event, Fearless. The event will bring an afternoon of live talks and performances by female change-makers, trail-blazers and big thinkers from the capital but out to change the world, one idea at a time. The theme of the event is fearless. We live in an uncertain time but despite the physical, cultural and economic challenges, TEDxCanberraWomen is out to encourage people to engage. 4. Flix 'n Dickson
Enjoy free family films in the heart of Dickson, every week until Christmas. Join in the fun from 6pm with Lucy Sparkles and Friends, who will bring some fun, games and music before the film at 8pm. Support local businesses by grabbing some dinner to enjoy with the movie or bring your picnic. This weekend's film is Paddington Bear 2, with Zootopia, Rise of the Guardians and Elf scheduled to show in the coming weeks. Saturday, 6pm. Dickson Post Office Courtyard. 5. Christmas high tea
