After no footy in the nation's capital in 2020, the Giants' men's and women's teams will return to play a double-header at Manuka Oval on Saturday, March 6.
The Giants will host the Gold Coast Suns in the AFLW at 5.10pm, followed by a men's pre-season fixture, with GWS's opponent to be announced next week.
Manuka Oval was unable to hold football this year due to the ground hosting five women's T20 Cricket World Cup matches in February, followed by the COVID-19 shutdown.
"We're delighted to be playing games in Canberra again after not being able to play in front of our passionate ACT-based members in 2020," Giants chief executive David Matthews said.
The Giants' men are also expected to play three regular season AFL matches in the capital in 2021.
GWS also plays Fremantle (away), Melbourne (Blacktown), Brisbane (Blacktown), Geelong (away), Western Bulldogs (Blacktown), Collingwood (away), St Kilda (Homebush) and Adelaide (away) in the 2021 AFLW season.
