The Crystal Globe champion was edged out by American Winter Vinecki on Sunday morning, whose double full-full earned her a score of 94.11 points in the medal round and her first World Cup victory.

Peel, the defending series champion, led through the qualifications and first round of finals with her trademark triple flips. She landed the difficult full-full-full in the big final, receiving a score of 92.72 to settle for second place.

Canada's Marion Thenault rounded out the podium with 90.59 points for her double full-full.

Peel's silver sees her retain the World No.1 yellow leader's bib in the aerial skiing World Cup standings with 290 points after four events.

She holds an 87-point lead over second-place Vinecki, having started her 2020-21 campaign with back-to-back victories in Ruka and Yaroslavl.

Peel, 31, will look to strengthen her series lead in the Belarusian capital of Minsk next weekend, before heading to the United States on February 5 for the sixth leg in Deer Valley.

Meanwhile in Switzerland, Australia's Scotty James claimed silver on his return to the World Cup series. He scored 93.75 in his first run to finish behind Yuto Totsuka (95.25) at the Laax Open.
