The Redemption of Colour
Artist Scott Chaseling investigates people's complex relationship with colour and what colour symbolises today.Taking full advantage of the transparent qualities of glass, the sculptures are made from multiple-coloured tubes and chain-links that shift, change and evolve as people walk around the gallery. Studio Altenburg

Life Drawing
Strathnairn Arts will host a series of workshops with artist Marie Hagerty in term one from February 5. Classes will be held in the Strathnairn Arts village hall and attendance is limited to 12 people per class. Hagerty, whose work has been shown in galleries in Australia and abroad, will guide students through various approaches to drawing the figure, from the classical/historical to the contemporary, with activities aimed at developing one's eye and observational skills and improving drawing techniques..strathnairn.com.au.
Canberra Men's Choir
The Canberra Men's Choir will hold an open night on Monday, February 1 from 7.30pm to 9pm at the Harmonie German Club, 49 Jerrabomberra Avenue, Narrabundah. Music for Canberra
Music for Canberra's first term for 2021 starts on February 1 at Ainslie Arts Centre, 30 Elouera Street, Braddon, but enrolments in its range of programs for all ages continue until February 5. The line-up of programs is intended to cater to Canberrans of all ages, ability, and experience. Easy Rider
In this 1969 counterculture classic directed by Dennis Hopper, Wyatt (Peter Fonda) and Billy (Hopper), two Harley-riding hippies, complete a drug deal in Southern California and decide to travel cross-country in search of spiritual truth. On their journey, they experience bigotry and hatred from the inhabitants of small-town America and meet with other travellers seeking alternative lifestyles. Kambri Film Festival
The free film festival continues this weekend at Kambri's indoor cinema at ANU with family and adult-oriented films. On Saturday at 3pm is the family film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), starring Angelina Jolie, in which a war between humans and fairies looms, and at 7pm is Rams (2020) with Sam Neill and Michael Caton as feuding brothers who both raise sheep. On Sunday at 3pm the family film is A Dog's Journey (2019), directed by Gail Mancuso, in which a dog keeps getting reincarnated and forming bonds with people. The adult-oriented film at 7pm is The Farewell (2019), a comedy-drama written and directed by Lulu Wang in which a Chinese-American family hide from the grandmother the fact she is dying and schedule a family gathering. There's one complimentary popcorn and beverage (water, juice or soft drink) for every ticket holder. Parking is available at the ANU Kambri Union Court car park.
