The popular portable watering-hole will be marking its rebrand with a community party this weekend, while also celebrating its fourth birthday.
Pop Inn founder Kimberley Ohayon says the award-winning wine bar, designed by Canberra architects DJAS, gives the community a chance to get away while staying in Canberra.
"COVID-19 has created an uncertain time for all of us, but it gave us the time to think about the future of the Pop Inn and how we're interacting with Canberrans," she said.
"The idea of the Pop Inn was conceived while travelling in Italy. Although travel may be off the cards for a while, we want the Pop Inn to be a nostalgic reminder of holiday fun - a place to get away while we can't actually get away."
'We have so many gorgeous spots around Canberra that allow us to create a beautiful experience right where we are. We always strive to offer an ever-changing but familiar experience for our customers, so on our fourth birthday, we wanted the brand to evolve to reflect that."
The Pop Inn will celebrate its new verve with a COVID-safe party for Canberrans to enjoy.
The weekend-long celebration will take place this Saturday and Sunday in Bowen Park, beside Lake Burley Griffin.
Wine tastings, a pop-up postcard station, lawn games and live entertainment. There will also be opportunities for customers to win prizes with a scavenger-hunt style raffle, and lucky door prizes throughout the weekend.
Kimberley said fans could expect more locations, more entertainment, and more collaborations to enhance the Pop Inn experience.
"We see the Pop Inn as a community corner, and we're excited to reveal more community collaborations with local wineries, small businesses, the arts sector and other tourist attractions around Canberra," she said.
Guests must be aged 18 or older. Children supervised by adults are welcome.
Pop Up Inn will be open in Bowen Park, off Bowen Drive, Barton, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 7pm.
