Concerns were raised over the safety of the ground last season when Raiders young gun Harley Smith-Shields slid into the fence and required treatment on his hand.
In some parts of the ground there's just a metre or two between the field of play and the fence.
With more than 147 millimetres of rain falling at Sydney Airport over the past three days, players sliding into the fence could become an issue if Kogarah became waterlogged.
The A-League cancelled the "Big Blue" game between Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory, which was scheduled to be played there on Saturday night.
NRL great Steve Roach pointed out the dangers of Kogarah when Smith-Shields slid into the fence last year.
"Geez it's dangerous isn't it. We were only just talking about it before the game," he said on the Fox Sports commentary.
The NRL said on Saturday that at this stage all games would proceed as planned.
They added they would inspect any grounds when there was a need to - which is what they did at Brookvale Oval before the Manly Sea Eagles-South Sydney Rabbitohs game went ahead.
Raiders chief executive Don Furner had faith the NRL would ensure the players' welfare was a priority.
"I'm sure the NRL will make it a safe venue," he said.

NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo said they were monitoring the venues.
He backed the modern-day grounds, which were a far cry from the old mud baths of a bygone era.
"The technology and the drainage in the turf these days is fantastic and the ground managers all do a superb job," Abdo said on 2GB.
"I've had reports back from Brookvale and the turf is in good shape and is certainly safe to play ... and [Parramatta Stadium] is holding up really well. At this stage we are all systems go.
"You've got to take into account player welfare and you've got to take into account whether or not it becomes unsafe. We're monitoring that."
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart expected a tough clash against the Sharks, who were able to acclimatise to wet conditions in their win over St George Illawarra last weekend.
"They're a strong team, They're an aggressive team and they always have been," he said.
"It's always been a good contest between both clubs. The conditions they were in [last week], they did a really good job of handling those.
"The first three or four rounds are always tough games. Everyone's healthy, fit and motivated to play footy. Our group is no different."
