Loiterton fell to a unanimous decision defeat in her professional boxing debut against Sandstrom at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday night.
The bout opened the show for Tim Tszyu's super welterweight blockbuster against two-time world title challenger Dennis Hogan.
The pair seemed to split the opening rounds before Sandstrom came home strong to secure a 39-37, 39-37, 40-36 victory on the judges' scorecards.
The win lifts Sandstrom's record to 1-1, with Loiterton setting her sights on a rematch for a state title on a Hybrid Combat Series show in Canberra on June 26.
MORE BOXING
"Absolutely, definitely," Loiterton said when asked if she wants a rematch.
"I definitely think that's going to be the goal going forward, to get in the ring as much as we can now, now that promotions are back on and there is more opportunity out there for us.
"I'm certainly keen to get back as soon as I can, as soon as we're ready, and keep kicking on. There's always stuff you can work on. We can keep refining our skills, keep pushing a bit more fitness."
Loiterton took a moment to soak up the bright lights a day prior but there was no way she would be overawed by the occasion on fight night.
She came out all guns blazing while Sandstrom was prepared to fight fire with fire.
"I don't think it's much different to what we do day in, day out, and all the other fights I've had fighting professionally as a Muay Thai fighter," Loiterton said.
"I hadn't fought since 2019, prior to that I was fighting quite frequently. You base it on what you remember, I loved being in the ring and I still do.
"I want to get back in there as soon as I can and find out feet again."
