Bradley Joe Roberts, 22, was taken into custody on Wednesday evening and charged with a single count of aggravated burglary with intent to cause harm.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and declined to apply for bail when he appeared briefly in the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.
The charge, read to Mr Roberts by Special Magistrate Jane Campbell, alleged he trespassed into a home in Spence on March 11 in company with Sugimatatihuna Mena and Rebecca Parlov.
Mr Mena, who allegedly shot a man in the Crofts Crescent house, was arrested last week on charges of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm and discharging a firearm.
He has not entered pleas and has also been remanded in custody.
Police have previously said they began investigating the incident when the shooting victim turned up at Calvary Hospital with "serious" bullet wounds in the early hours of March 11.
Officers carried out a search later that day and found several items of evidence, including shell casings.
Detective Inspector Marcus Boorman told media last week that the victim had arrived at hospital in "a critical and unstable condition".
"The victim received one gunshot wound to the abdomen and a number of other gunshot wounds, but I won't go into the specifics of those," he said.
The senior officer would not reveal a suspected motive for the shooting, but said "the parties were known to police".
Mr Roberts is due back in court on May 13, while Mr Mena is expected to appear again on April 13.
