"I've watched it at least weekly I reckon," the Australian super featherweight title contender said.
"Probably since the middle of January, I've watched it at least weekly."
That fight was his ANBF Australian title loss at the hands of TC Priestley [3-4] almost two years ago to the day. Dencio [8-3] had come in as the favourite but was stopped late by the Moree product who put in the performance of his career to deny the Canberra product the title.
Now Dencio is poised to get a shot at redemption in a rematch with Priestley for the national crown on a televised show headlined by world-ranked rising star Brock Jarvis at Exhibition Park in Canberra's Coorong Pavilion on April 23.

"It's pretty frustrating because I didn't do anything. He won the fight, but I also lost it. I made it a lot easier for him than I probably should have, and he took advantage," Dencio said.
"It'll be good on a Foxtel show, and I'm pretty keen to give him a loss. It's his turn I think. It means I'm bringing it home, that's what that means.
"You want to impress on a Foxtel show for starters, but you're also fighting the bloke that beat you, so you want to give it back to him a bit. I'm pretty keen to get the W this time."
Priestley has a chance to become a two-time national champion having since vacated the belt, but Dencio is hellbent on claiming the strap with the show televised across Australia.
The show marks volume seven of the National Boxing Series spearheaded by promoter Dean Lonergan, the man who orchestrated Jeff Horn's memorable world title bout with Manny Pacquiao in Brisbane almost four years ago.
Jeff Fenech's protege Jarvis headlines the show in a regional title bout with Kiwi featherweight Nort Beauchamp while emerging middleweight Issac Hardman faces Mark Lucas in the co-main event.
Jarvis's return to Canberra comes after he disposed of Mark Schleibs at the same venue in December, a card featuring Dencio's comeback after he flirted with the idea of walking away from boxing.
"It definitely felt different [fighting on Fox Sports in December]. I got more nervous this time, it wasn't so much the fight, it was just that it's not in a local club," Dencio said.
"It's in a place where big events are held. The way they set it up, it looked like a production rather than your local fight night. I'm not saying a local fight night is bad, it's just a few levels above what I'm used to.
"I was working with Tyson Lantry before he fought Paul Fleming on Wednesday. Hopefully my result is a little better than his. He was good sparring, he is pretty handy."
