Jarvis [18-0] is seemingly destined for a world title fight and his next step comes against Nort Beauchamp at Exhibition Park in Canberra's Coorong Pavilion on April 23.

Powerful Top Rank boxing promoter Bob Arum is keen for Jarvis to take on the winner of April 24's WBO championship bout between Emanuel Navarrete and Chris Diaz.

Now Capital Fight Show boss Nick Boutzos has opened talks with the ACT government about securing funding for a world title bout in the capital, which would be beamed back into the United States in a prime time Saturday night timeslot.

Such a bout would propel Jarvis to superstardom and open the door for some of Canberra's best prospects to shine on the world stage.

"We've already started communication with the ACT government for funding," Boutzos said.

"Believe me, we have a lot of things that can potentially happen. I've got my fingers crossed but it takes a few things for that to happen.

"He has to get into that position, but absolutely, I will try to get a world title fight here for Brock Jarvis and for Canberra, 100 per cent. I will make every effort if that becomes available.

"Team Fenech are great, I get on pretty well with Jeff on a personal level. We've got a pretty good connection, we work with each other, we help each other out. It's fantastic.

"The ultimate thing is there are three parts to this. The first is the fighting part, then there is the entertainment part which is for the crowd, and there is also the growth.

"It's fantastic for our Canberra fighters, it's fantastic having Brock. It brings a lot of eyeballs to Canberra, and it makes us represented and showcased on a national level."

Jarvis' looming regional title bout will be his second appearance at EPIC after Boutzos and Dean Lonergan of D&L Events were left to seek alternative options when the AIS Arena's doors closed indefinitely.

COVID-19 restrictions will keep the crowd figure to 800, but Boutzos predicts that number will swell for future shows as he targets bigger arenas for televised events.

"At the moment I'm looking at keeping all of my 'A class' events, TV events, at Exhibition Park," Boutzos said.

"Those buildings are big enough and we can fill them, so that's a goal to stay there. Hopefully we can make that a home for boxing in Canberra.

"Once the venues open up completely we can have the Convention Centre and the Budawang Pavilion at EPIC. It'll be a lot easier once restrictions open up and we can have a full field of tickets for people to be able to purchase."
