FIT running coach Di Evans, who has been a part of the FIT program for over 22 years, will be celebrating the program's 25th anniversary of their running academy this Sunday.
"it's amazing, it's a unique organisation, we train in three disciplines running, cycling and swimming," Evans said.
"We have females aged 18 all the way through to our oldest member who is 85 years old."
However, the focus may be on 75 year-old runner Andrea McDonald who will be supporting fellow FIT member Fran Sankey on her first ever marathon.
McDonald and Sankey began their journey in the FIT group back in 2013, in the rookies program where they supported each other through their first 5km run together.
Come Sunday, McDonald will ride a bicycle behind Sankey to support her debut marathon.
"Andrea's amazing and it really typifies what FIT is all about," Sankey said.
"Andrea supported me when I did my first 5km run at FIT. She was with me then and she's still with me now. Age is just a number and what she's doing is incredible."
"FIT is full of amazing women and like Andrea has gone that extra mile. Throughout my whole training, she has been there supporting me side by side.
"I feel confident to be able to do it because I've got that personal support from her."

Evans praised McDonald's choice to support Sankey rather than contest the race herself.
"Andrea has done all of this training and she could turn up Sunday and actually run the marathon but she's decided she is going to support another runner on her first marathon," Evans said.
McDonald said Evans had played a huge role in her running journey.
"Di is the reason that I've ever ran a marathon, her encouragement and her support is just amazing," McDonald said.
"She's very genuine and a great coach."
