The Capitals will announce Goriss's resigning on Thursday morning in a major boost for the side which has made the WNBL playoffs in the past three seasons under his tutelage.
"I am excited and honoured to extend my tenure with the UC Capitals for another three years," Goriss said.
"With our recent success I look forward to the challenges ahead to maintain our spot in the upper echelon of WNBL teams."
Goriss is still in the process of assembling his roster for next season with American import Mikaela Ruef the only player to re-sign so far from last season.
"It's a challenge to continue to recruit talent, get it right and keep them in the one place," Goriss said.
"Our recruitment here has been successful with the types of people and players we have been able to bring in, the likes of [Kelsey] Griffin, [Mariana] Tolo, [Leilani] Mitchell, [Kelly] Wilson, and the addition of some very special and world class imports in [Kia] Nurse and [Olivia] Epoupa alongside the development and growth of [Maddison] Rocci, [Keely] Froling and [Abby] Cubillo."

Goriss said he was still improving as a coach: "I am always trying to learn and there is always a way to do things better," Goriss said.
"The style of play is changing, and we are seeing that around the world in the NBA, WNBA, Europe and Australia with the different types of read and react offenses.
"We will continue to grow, develop and find ways to compete for a championship to be successful and I'm excited for the next three years."
The Capitals finished third in last season's shortened WNBL.
