The pair were supposed to collide in Canberra on Friday night before Browne reneged on the contract to strike a deal with Paul Gallen.
Browne was stopped inside one round by Gallen in Wollongong on Wednesday night but is adamant that is "definitely not my last fight".
The former world champion's loss to Gallen makes a mooted bout with Australian heavyweight title holder Justis Huni near impossible to sell.
So now his attention could turn to Fosso's bout with Jamie Porter [10-6] at Exhibition Park's Coorong Pavilion.
MORE BOXING
A win for Fosso may well put the wheels in motion for a clash with Browne - the man he was originally supposed to fight on this card before the latter reneged on the deal.
"Hundred per cent mate. I reckon that would be a great fight," Browne said.
"He is pretty much my size and weight as well, so I reckon a nice fan-friendly fight. It's been like a year and a half since my last fight. I want to try to stay active.
"Whether it be someone like Solomon Haumono or someone like that, I do want to, in the next couple of months, have another fight. You never know what could happen. You've still got the likes of Demsey McKean as well.
"I'm not sure what's happening with Justis. We'll see how it goes. It's going to be someone in Australia."
