Prime Minister Scott Morrison and state and territory leaders have agreed on changes to the vaccine rollout at a meeting of national cabinet on Thursday.

* Just under 1.8 million Australians have been vaccinated.

* Pfizer to be prioritised for those under-50 in phases 1a and 1b of the rollout.

* Bringing forward AstraZeneca vaccine for GP respiratory clinics on May 3 and May 17 for GPs, to deliver to all over-50s.

* Reducing by 30 per cent the numbers coming through from high-risk countries on chartered flights into Australia.

* Limiting departure exceptions for Australians travelling to high-risk countries such as India. Authorities are still to draft a list of high-risk countries, but it will be similar to that used in the UK.

* Reducing direct flights from India into Australia by 30 per cent, with no start date set yet.

* Arrangement whereby if you have been in a high-risk country in the 14 days before embarkation you will need a COVID test 72 hours before leaving the last point of embarkation.
