Tuifua fronted the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday where he admitted to stabbing Ulavalu in the neck during the vicious fight at Kokomo's in Civic on July 19 last year.
Tuifua, 26, has also admitted a charge of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm on Zachary Robb, another Comanchero, by stabbing him in the leg during the clash.
The Western Sydney man has been in custody in the ACT since his arrest last year and had previously pleaded not guilty.
He admitted to killing Ulavalu on the basis he was recklessly indifferent to life and will be sentenced in the ACT Supreme Court later this year.
Tuifua was at a birthday party that night when he and a group of friends headed into Civic and the Kokomo's nightclub.
An argument between his group and some Comancheros later erupted into a vicious brawl in front of hundreds of people and the club's surveillance cameras.
Uluvalu and Tuifua poured onto the street, where the bikie commander collapsed and died, blood spilling from his wound.
Tuifua wasn't arrested until weeks later at hospital, where another of his group, Max Budack, was being treated for gunshot wounds from a suspected reprisal attack.
A number of Ulavalu's supporters came to court to see Tuifua enter his plea.
Some were wearing black custom hoodies with "in loving memory of Pitasoni Ulavalu" printed on the back with a photograph.
Five others have been charged with affray over their roles in the brawl.
