The organisation works with ADF veterans and first responders suffering from post traumatic stress disorder by providing them with "highly trained canine guardians".

The brothers, in their 50s, are expected to be joined for at least part of the Canberra leg by the Governor-General David Hurley and his wife Linda, who are patrons of Integra Service Dogs Australia.
Each service dogs costs $30,000 to train and the brothers hope to raise enough to train seven dogs.
