Taylor stirred the pot on the CRRL podcast this week, saying his side held no fear ahead of their round-five contest with the ladder leaders.
"I think everyone this year has laid down for the Blues," Taylor said.
"They look up and see a star-studded side and the game is over before they take the field.
Blues halfback Blake Murray was quick to shake off Taylor's comments.
"We know we have been tested, against Goulburn we were down for most of the game but we found a way to come back and win," Murray said.
"I believe we know how to win tough games and we will find out this weekend."
Facing their stiffest challenge of the season on Saturday, Taylor's men will chase a third-straight win after an injury-riddled start to the Canberra Raiders Cup season.
The Kangaroos will look to go after the Blues through the middle early, with Taylor urging captain Lachie Ingram and his pack to fire up after a mixed start to the season.

"He's really put it to our forwards that if we're going to win it's going to be through the middle," Ingram said.
"Their strength is their forward pack but we see it as their weakness too, they're big boys but if we can get on top and start rolling we can make something happen."
The Blues have cruised through the opening four rounds of the Raiders Cup, scoring an average of 47 points per game while conceding just 11.
Murray insisted Saturday's derby was just another match for his side, despite the fierce rivalry between the clubs.
"There is going to be a lot more feeling in it I think," Murray said.
"They're going to hit harder and run harder but for us it's going to be the same as any other week."
