The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a low of minus four degrees on Sunday morning, which is likely to be our coldest morning since June 5 last year, when we shivered in minus 4.9 degrees.
That will be followed by minus two on Monday, minus three on Tuesday and minus two on Wednesday.
The good news is, we should have bright sunny days after the frosts.
We did get a minus 2.7 degrees on April 24 this year, testing the don't-turn-the-heater-on-before-Anzac-Day theory.
The mean minimum temperature for May at Canberra airport is 2.3 degrees, so Sunday's forecast minimum is 6.3 degrees below the average.
