Sydney International Bachata Festival
It's time to get down and boogie in the capital as the Sydney International Bachata Festival goes ahead in 2021 in Canberra. The three-day event is being broadcast live online and in person, inviting all people of different skill levels to participate and learn to dance Bachata, featuring a Bachata challenge workshop, a live band and top national dance instructors. It will be running from Friday to Sunday at the City Walk in Canberra ACT. Tickets from $90 from Trybooking.
Autumn High Tea at Pialligo
As winter quickly approaches, so does Pialligo Estates final Autumn High Tea. Come along and treat yourself to a delicious High Tea this Sunday, gorging yourself on decadent cakes, mini pastries, finger sandwiches, scones (with jam and cream, you'd hope) and more, whilst sipping on an autumn cocktail or glass of wine followed by a nice tea or coffee. NRL 2021 - Raiders v Storm
What better way to celebrate the weekend than going to watch the Saturday night footy? Catch the Canberra Raiders compete against the Melbourne Storm and get your serious viking clap on - it's set to be an unpredictable match, with the team's star trio - Josh Papalii, Josh Hodgson and Jack Wighton - stood down as part of the NRL's crackdown on foul play. Up against the Storm, the team will need all the good thoughts it can get this Saturday at 7:35 pm at GIO Stadium Canberra. Gates open at 5:20pm. Tickets start from $15, available at Ticketek.
Canberra Mini Golf Open and Match Play
If you're still fired up from the footy the night before, you can putter up and get ready to swing - a much more refined but just as competitive experience. The Mini Golf Federation Square collaborates with the Thornleigh Mini Golf club in hosting the Canberra Open and Canberra Match this Sunday.
