Police said they raided a property on December 8 last year searching for evidence of drug trafficking and proceeds of crime offences, and charged a man with several offences.
"A number of performance vehicles and other items were seized during this activity and through court orders, police have successfully restrained these vehicles and items," they said in a statement on Thursday.
They discovered they had not recovered one of the vehicles that is subject to the restraint order, and they want the public's help to find it.
The car is a heavily modified blue/purple Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) Maloo utility. It may have distinctive gold wheels.
They said anyone moving or concealing restrained assets might be committing an offence, and asked anyone with information about ute to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or at the Crime Stoppers ACT website and quote reference 6609388.
