Emergency services gave the go ahead to re-open Geelong Street on Tuesday morning and for businesses neighbouring the Beam scooter building to resume trading.

Fire investigators will attend the scene on Tuesday morning to determine exactly what sparked the blaze at the warehouse on Sunday.

ACT Fire and Rescue crews first gained access to the Beam repair facility on Monday afternoon, reporting significant damage.

An Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said at this stage the fire was not being treated as suspicious.

The fire appeared to be accidental and may have been sparked by one of the scooter batteries, although the cause has not been confirmed, the spokesperson said.

Beam acknowledged the fire had destroyed some batteries and e-scooters but said no employees had been injured in the blaze.

Corporate affairs vice-president Christopher Hilton said Beam was still working through the circumstances surrounding the fire.

"Sunday morning, our repair warehouse was one of several units that were involved in a fire," Mr Hilton said.

"We can confirm that no Beam employees were injured, but a small number of batteries and e-scooters were lost to the fire."

While continuing to monitor the incident, emergency services are yet to acknowledge which premises the fire started in.

Mr Hilton said Beam would work with relevant authorities as they learnt more about the incident.

"Beam's operations in Canberra will not be significantly impacted by the damage to our repair warehouse," he said.

Firefighters will remain at the factory for much of the day to monitor the batteries.
