Based on Bret Easton Ellis' 1991 controversial best-selling novel American Psycho and the 2000 film of the same name, this sexy, dark, disturbing and downright hilarious musical tells the story of Patrick Bateman, a young, handsome and wealthy investment banker living in the epicentre of excess: Manhattan during the Wall Street boom of the late 1980s. Patrick and his elite group of friends spend their days in chic restaurants, exclusive clubs and designer labels. But at night, Patrick takes part in a darker indulgence. Wednesday to Friday, 8pm. Founded in 1996, Hands On Studio is a leader in the field of arts and disabilities in the Canberra region. Over the years, the artists who attend the program have collaborated with their peers as well as local and interstate practising artists. Sixty finalists have been chosen for the inaugural year of Sculpture@Shaw. More than 150 entries from across the country were submitted to Australia's new sculpture prize worth $25,000, presented by Shaw Wines in Murrumbateman in partnership with Belco Arts.
