Richard Playle, 44, appeared via video link in Queanbeyan Local Court on Wednesday charged with one count each of dangerous driving and possessing an item intending to destroy or damage.
He also faces two counts of destroying property, with one of those intending to endanger life.
Mr Playle, of Queanbeyan, has not pleaded to the charges. He did not apply for bail and was formally refused.
In a statement, police said he was driving a white Holden sedan on Farrer Place when he allegedly hit the station's rear entry security gate just before midnight on Tuesday.
The car became wedged between the entry gates as a result, where it reportedly caused serious property damage.
