"It's very overwhelming knowing that I have gotten to this stage, I never thought I would because of how many injuries have occurred in 11 years of playing but I have never missed a year" said Watson.

"I'm a proud member of our club, I wouldn't change clubs ever. I obviously haven't, but in the near future I don't think that will happen either."

Watson will play in Saturday's clash against Gungahlin, as the Tigers look to bridge the gap between ladder leaders and reigning premier Belconnen Magpies.

And after bringing up the pioneering 150-game milestone, Watson will now be eligible for induction into the Tigers Hall of Fame, which adorns the walls of its licensed club in Queanbeyan.

"Lani's been a fantastic young lady to be involved at the club,she's highly spirited, she's genuine, she is an honest player on the field and she loves playing for the Tigers club so that's what we like about her," club stalwart Ron Fowlie said.

"The significance is that she is the first player to be awarded a life memberships of the club and in doing so becomes eligible to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, which in our licensed club, and also into the Tigers Walk of Honour down at the football ground."

AFL Canberra was entirely washed out last weekend due to persistent rain across the capital.

It left the women's ladder delicately poised, with Belconnen sitting a game clear of Queanbeyan and Ainslie.

The Tigers and Magpies also lead the way in the men's competition, having lost just one match each apiece.

Reigning premier Queanbeyan clashes with the lowly Gungahlin Jets on Saturday, while the Magpies take on a rebuilding Ainslie side which is nestled in fourth spot, just one win ahead of Tuggeranong Valley.

Gungahlin remains winless in both competitions.
