The $847,000 injection comes as part of the NSW Government's Regional Sport Facility Fund, and will help continue Queanbeyan's recent growth in female sport participation.
"This is of vital importance due to the growing popularity of women's sport, particularly cricket in the country, and dedicated facilities will help us attract more female players," Queanbeyan Cricket president Rohan Ditton said.
"This very important grant means we will be able to host male and female games concurrently at our home grounds at Freebody and Neil Bulger Ovals, which is currently not possible."
Member for Monaro John Barilaro said: "We're seeing women's participation surge across all sporting codes including cricket, and we need to make sure that the facilities are there to support that growth.
"By having these change rooms we can make sure that our girls and women feel welcome and supported in all sporting codes, and especially in those that were previously male dominated.
"Amenities like this make a huge difference in rural and regional NSW. This will not only boost women's participation in local cricket but will help significantly in attracting high level representative sport to the region."
