Spectators in the crowd will not be required to wear a mask while watching the match, except for those doing so in one of the venue's indoor corporate boxes.
Masks are also not necessary while queuing to get into the ground, but they must be worn for spectators waiting for public transport outside.
"ACT Policing, in addition to their regular patrol duties at sporting events, will be looking out for any breaches of the public health orders at GIO Stadium this weekend," an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
An ACT Government spokesperson said being Covid-safe was everyone's responsibility.
"Patrons attending should note the rules regarding the wearing of masks, to ensure hand sanitiser is used while at the venue, including before and after toilet and food/beverage breaks and that if you are unwell, please do not come to the football, even if you have a ticket.
"Even though masks are not required in the outdoor areas of the stadium, patrons are encouraged to bring and wear one if they feel uncomfortable. For patrons attending the corporate facilities or suites where they will be spending time indoors, they would be required to wear and keep their masks on except when consuming food or beverages. Staff working in these areas will be required to keep a face mask on at all times."

Meanwhile, local sport spectators can expect cross-border differences this weekend given the variation in health advice between NSW and the ACT.
Spectators at games in Queanbeyan need to wear a mask, as must club officials and coaching staff, while venues are to abide by the one person per four square metre rule.
Those rules are more relaxed in the ACT, where fans attending local sporting events can do so mask-free - as long as they're outside.
But there is still a long list of COVID-safe rules in place covering both NSW and the ACT, which includes checking in upon arrival, avoiding unnecessary mingling, and staying away if you have virus symptoms.
Fans must also wear masks if they enter changerooms or canteens while hospitality workers must be masked while serving members of the public.
ACT Rugby has provided the following advice to its clubs: "There is no need for participants to wear a mask in changerooms while getting changed, resting during a match or undertaking physical activity. However changerooms are considered a common/shared area and we would encourage people (such as coaches and support staff) to wear a mask in the changerooms if they aren't participating in the game."
