New exhibitions at M16
Now on at M16 Artspace until Sunday, August 8 are Step Into the Limelight, three galleries containing works by more than 500 ACT public school students, and in the Chutespace, Ross Andrews' Turquoise Through An Undertow, in which he borrows from art history's capriccio concepts to redream natural and urban surroundings. Timeline and Together Alone
Curated by David Broker, Timeline by Pat Hoffie and Alex Asch reveals a timeline of views and values evident in the ways they interpret their present as a legacy of the past, which in turn drives the future. It opens on Saturday, July 24 at 11am at Canberra Contemporary Art Space, 44 Queen Elizabeth Terrace, Parkes, and runs until September 19. Together Alone by Ali Aedy and Toni Hassan offers intimate works that speak of the spaces between us, connection and disconnection. Cate Maddy exhibition
Grainger Gallery will launch its eighth show in as many months with former Canberran Cate Maddy's I didn't come to stay, opening on Saturday, July 24 at 5pm. Her works revisit the still life tradition. Grainger Gallery will link her with the audience on the night via Zoom. The Perfect Brooch
Bilk Gallery's exhibition featuring works by 25 contemporary jewellers is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm by appointment until Saturday, August 7. Domestic Disturbance
Keziah Craven's Domestic Disturbance explores the traumatic effects of domestic abuse and the failure of government agencies to provide adequate assistance to those affected by it. Through the development of an architectural embodied space the artist brings her personal 'lived experience' through art into the public realm. Emil and the Detectives

The Ten Tenors
