Wests chief executive Justin Pascoe told the Raiders on Thursday they were no longer pursuing the 23-year-old - a day after the Tigers had raised the possibility of taking him on loan for the rest of the 2021 NRL season.

It means Scott will resume training at the Raiders centre of excellence on Friday, when he'll have completed his two weeks' isolation since returning to his Canberra home from Sydney.

Scott's unlikely to join the Green Machine in Queensland, where they're looking increasingly likely to see out the season after initially going up for four weeks.

As a sign of that, some of the Raiders players were having their cars transported up to the Gold Coast for them and their families to use.

The Canberra players were reunited with their partners and families on Thursday after spending the past two weeks locked in their Queensland bubble.

"We're approached as a club by many - we seem to get linked to most players across the game - but in this case from Curtis's management and the situation in the loaning systems people are approaching you and at the present moment no we're not going down that path," Tigers coach Michael Maguire said.

"We're obviously very focused on building our squad and aware of what we need to build.

"At this present moment we're going to keep working through with the available players and continue to grow us.

"He's contracted with the Raiders ... and where that goes that's up to the Raiders."

Scott's on the outer at the Raiders after he was suspended for his alleged involvement in a fight at a Canberra nightclub.

A police investigation into the incident was ongoing after a formal complaint was made.

Scott hasn't played since The Canberra Times broke the story, revealing CCTV footage of the incident.

It's unlikely he'll pull on the lime green again this year with no plans for him to join the team on the Gold Coast at the moment.

The Tigers were in the market for outside backs after James Roberts was suspended for a bubble breach, having also left former Raiders centre Joey Leilua in Sydney when they first travelled north.

While Scott's contracted to the Raiders until the end of the 2024 campaign, the initial interest was for a move until the end of the season.

But there was also the potential for a more permanent shift beyond this campaign.

That was until the Tigers decided against chasing Scott.

"Pascoe has texted [Raiders CEO Don Furner] and said they won't be going forward with it after their initial approach," Canberra coach Ricky Stuart said.

"It's no skin off our nose. It wasn't suggested by us. It was something that Wests Tigers threw up."
