Jayden Stephen Kirkman, 24, fronted the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday for sentencing after he pleaded guilty to assault charges, as well as damaging property and possessing a knife without a reasonable excuse.
Facts tendered to the court state on February 12 this year, Kirkman went to Moby Dick's Tavern in Holt where he ordered a beer before pouring it into his shoe, then drinking it.
After being told to leave, he screamed at other patrons, kicked a number of chairs and tables before grabbing a schooner of beer and throwing it at an awning.
Kirkman, who was on a 12-month good behaviour order from April 2020 as part of a suspended jail sentence, stripped down to his underwear then walked to Kippax shopping centre where he left in a car with other people.
Two hours later, he returned to the pub before damaging the Domino's store nearby. When police caught up to him at the Kippax Fair car park, he was shaping up with his fists and swearing loudly.
In November last year, Kirkman and another man were at Moby Dick's Tavern where they put another man in a headlock before landing a barrage of punches into their victim's torso.
Only a month prior, a knife was found along a path near the defendant after police were called.
In court, dental records and photos of the victim's injuries were tendered. The court also heard Domino's was seeking compensation.
Magistrate Robert Cooke indicated the suspended jail term may be activated as punishment.
Sentencing was adjourned to August 26.
