Nomad
Sydney's Nomad restaurant is delivering a Father's Day feast to Canberra. Dinner for two offers seven dishes from its Middle Eastern menu. Think chicken with harissa, toum and guindilla to an olive-oil muhallabieh with halva, pistachio and honey to finish. $150 feeds two. Vegetarian menu for $140.
First Edition
First Edition at the Novotel is delivering a barbecue feast. From rib-eye steak with garlic butter, garlic, lemon and thyme marinated free-range chicken breast and gourmet sausages to share. Sides include First Edition's Rainbow salad, ready-to-put-in-the-oven Dauphinoise potato bake and corn on the cob. Finishing the feast with decadent desserts of a chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla bean cream and traditional Eton Mess. Throw in a 50ml bottle of Starward Two Fold whiskey and a bottle of De Bortoli wine and you're good to go.
Beer degustation
A unique beer and food offering from BentSpoke Brewing. BeerDega1 ($85pp) is a four-course menu to experience alongside seven locally brewed BentSpoke beers. There is an option to add on dessert and another beer for $15. Vegetarian menu also available. Requires some assembly at home but there's beer to enjoy while you do it.
Break bread
Three Mills Bakery has the ultimate Father's Day pack. Includes a four pack of bake-at-home croissants, a smokey chipotle and bourbon relish, a bake-at-home family pie of your choice and a four-pack of sweet tarts of your choice. There's also a loaf of Trail Ale sourdough made in collaboration with Capital Brewing, featuring their signature pale ale. $75.
