The ACT government and Commonwealth have extended the COVID-19 Business Support Grants to September.
The 50-50 package split between both levels of government will provide $10,000 to employing businesses and $3500 for sole traders and non-employing companies, which have suffered a 30 per cent decline in turnover because of the lockdown.
The scheme was initially brought in at the start of the ACT shutdown and anyone who has already lodged an application will have the new payment applied automatically.
First payments to ACT business are expected in the coming days.
Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said the support payments were to ensure businesses with the territory remained viable beyond the lockdown.
"The Morrison government understands the significant impact extended lockdowns have on individuals and businesses in the ACT," Mr Frydenberg said.
"That is why we have increased our economic assistance through expanded business support with the ACT government and continuing the COVID-19 disaster payment for individuals."

ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr said the scheme would ensure the transmission risk remained low while people stayed at home.
"Our lockdown is working, but we are yet to see the public health risk reduce to the point that can safely end the lockdown," Mr Barr said.
ACT Liberal senator Zed Seselja said further help needs to come from the ACT government to support businesses that can safely reopen.
"While the Commonwealth government has stepped up to support Canberrans, I would continue to urge the ACT government to support those sectors that can safely reopen by putting in place a clear plan to do so," he said.
