The Australian Institute of Sport has confirmed the AIS Fitness Centre will not re-open after lockdown ends.
The pool, swimming classes and public swimming access will resume when permitted.
Aquatic classes will not return.
Sports Australia said "a small number" of staff were "impacted" by the closure, but they were going to be redeployed to other parts of the organisation.
The AIS Arena is currently closed due to lockdown, and will be used as a mass vaccination hub.
