Malkara Specialist School at Garran has been listed as a close contact location between 8.30am and 3.30pm on September 7 and 8.
Winnunga has reported it was visited by a person who was unknowingly infectious with COVID-19 on Friday, September 10. The main reception area of the new building at Narrabundah was added to the ACT government's list of exposure locations as a casual contact site late on Sunday night.
However, CEO of the Indigenous health service Julie Tongs posted an urgent message to the group's Facebook page on earlier in the evening, saying Winnunga was working with ACT Health to help identify close and casual contacts of the "unknowingly infectious" person.
"Winnunga will not be open on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 September due to the number of staff required to isolate as a result of this exposure," the post read.
"If you are booked in for a COVID jab tomorrow or Tuesday you can go to the AIS Stadium in Bruce to have your Pfizer jab or alternatively we can re book you when we reopen on Wednesday.
"This is an unfortunate evolving situation however my priority is to keep staff clients and community mob safe and to follow ACT Health directions," Ms Tongs wrote in the post.
Meanwhile, Mint Rd, a Narrabundah cafe, has also been listed - anyone who visited on September 8, 9 or 10 between 8.35am and 9.10am should monitor for symptoms.
Earlier on Sunday, the ACT government listed 22 new places where people in contact with someone infected with COVID has been.
The new exposure sites were mostly in Conder, Casey, Charnwood, Greenway and Dunlop plus particular buses at particular times and Costco at Majura Park.
None of those sites had been visited (as far as the contact tracers know) by someone who was actually infectious at the time, just by someone who had been in contact with an infectious person.
They are not described as "close contact" sites, meaning that someone known to be infectious was there. Rather, the new sites are "casual contact", meaning that a contact of someone who is known to be infectious was there.
The ACT government recommends that people who were at the new "casual contact" sites must:
- complete the ACT Contact Declaration Form
- immediately quarantine
- get tested for COVID-19 as advised by ACT Health.
The number of tests would depend on how many days ago a visitor to the new site was at the exposure location.
If you were at the casual contact exposure location less than four days ago, you will need two tests.
- You need to get a test as soon as you find out you are a casual contact.
- You will need to get another test on day 5 after you were at the casual contact exposure location.
- You need to remain in quarantine until you receive a negative test result from the 2nd COVID-19 test.
The casual contact sites listed on Sunday include:
- Costco Canberra, 39-41 Mustang Avenue. Wednesday, September 8 between 4:00pm and 5:10pm.
- Woolworths, Tuggeranong on Monday from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
