The 19-year-old was a powerhouse off the bench for United last season. The side was down 1-0 against Perth Glory, before Taylor-Young came off the bench and scored the equaliser in the 87th minute.
The 2021-22 season marks the United Academy product's third in green, where she will be looking to secure more regular minutes. One thing that may help her chances, is her stepping up into the NSW NPLW with Sydney side Macarthur Rams.
"I'm very honoured and excited to be able to play for Canberra again," she said.
"Last year was yet another incredible experience and gave me a huge opportunity to grow as a player. I believe it helped me find more confidence in myself.
"Being surrounded by such talented groups has helped me grow into the player I am today and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities I've been given.
"I want to learn as much as I can from the other girls."
MORE CANBERRA SPORT:
Taylor-Young is the seventh signing announcement for United behind Keeley Richards, Grace Maher, Michelle Heyman, Emma Ilijoski, Laura Hughes and Allira Toby.
Richards will likely retain the number one goalkeeping jersey, after United's other starting goalkeeper last season, Sally James, signed with Melbourne City last week.
James joins a growing list of former Canberra players to have flown the United coop with Isabella Foletta joining Italian outfit Società Sportiva Lazio, Demi Koulizakis signing with Perth Glory, and New Zealand international Paige Satchell, alongside Clare Hunt, Jessika Nash and Bianca Galic joining Sydney outfits.
United coach Vicki Linton said it was great to welcome Taylor-Young back for another year.
"She is a talented young player and it will be good to see her continue developing and to increase her impact in games," she said.
