There was 16 cases recorded on Tuesday. Of the new cases, three were in quarantine for their entire infectious period, at least 11 were in the community for part of their infectious period.
Health authorities this week admitted Canberra is unlikely to achieve ongoing days of zero COVID-19 cases, meaning restrictions will unlikely be tightened to stamp it out.
ACT chief health officer Dr Kerryn Coleman said public health restrictions would not eradicate transmission of the Delta variant.
Dr Coleman said the current public health directions with the level of vaccination coverage was working well.
Also this week, it was revealed the upcoming ACT Budget will include a commitment of $50.1 million over four years to recruit additional nurses and midwives.
