Chief health officer Dr Kerryn Coleman confirmed on Sunday the construction zone on 7 London Circuit was a site of transmission after at least six construction workers tested positive to the virus.
The remaining three cases were close contacts of those workers, she said.
All of the nine cases are included in Sunday's figures.
Anyone who visited building B's fifth level from 6.50am to 4pm over the five days between Monday, September 20 and Friday, September 24 is considered a close contact.
Close contacts must immediately quarantine, complete an ACT contact declaration form, get tested for COVID-19 and remain in quarantine until advised further by ACT Health, even if they receive a negative test result.
"We are working very closely with site management to identify any further potential exposures and limit transmission as much as possible," Dr Coleman said.
Dr Coleman said the building site would not necessarily be shut down because of the cases.
"The site may be shut down temporarily by the owners of the business to support contact tracing and those kinds of things," she said.
"But I certainly haven't directed it to be shut down."
ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said there had been no new cases linked to an possible outbreak at Canberra Hospital after two patients were unknowingly infectious with the virus in the general surgery ward.
It was declared a "red zone" on Saturday with fears that other services could be disrupted and prompting renewed calls for a vaccine mandate for healthcare staff.
Ms Stephen-Smith said around 30 staff were directly impacted by the outbreak at Canberra Hospital.
"In this particular case, I think it's also important to remember that this is not the only COVID-positive patient that has been identified within Canberra Hospital or across our public hospital and health system," she said.
"This is a situation that's been consistently managed by a Canberra health services, and indeed by Calvary [Hospital] on a regular basis."
New exposure sites updated on Sunday evening
A number of new exposure sites were listed on Sunday, including close locations in Bruce and the CBD.
Calvary Haydon Retirement Community Aged Care Facility has been listed as a close contact site over a four-day period between September 19 and September 22.
Several casual contact sites in Dickson, Kambah and the city were also added.
