Canberra United snapped up the goalkeeper with Mason-Jones joining Keeley Richards between the posts this A-League Women's season.
The goalkeeper found her way back to the pitch earlier this year, signing with Victorian NPLW side Alamein United FC for her eighth season in the competition after 15 months away.
She stepped away for "personal reasons" but said she was looking forward to getting stuck into pre-season on October 25.
"I've always heard great things about Canberra as a team; the girls, the fans, the environment overall," she said.
"Watching them over the past few seasons I've really noticed the fight they have for each other as a team which is something I really value and find really rare."

Mason-Jones spent three seasons in the ALW with Melbourne Victory during 2016-2019. However, she said the thought of a fresh slate was too enticing at United.
But there will be one familiar face, having spent a season with fellow United signing Grace Maher at Victory in 2018-19.
"I'm really looking forward to the new challenge ahead," the goalkeeper said.
"Having a fresh slate to work with, a bunch of new players I haven't ever played with, a new coach and a new training and playing environment is very enticing to me."
The goalkeeper marks United's 12th signing ahead of the season's December 3 kick-off. Last season's semi-finalists have signed Lauren Keir, Hayley Taylor-Young, Richards, Maher, Michelle Heyman, Emma Ilijoski, Laura Hughes, Allira Toby, Holly Caspers, Margot Robinne and Chloe Middleton so far.
