Crowds have gathered outside Australia's consulate in New York chanting "save Australia" in what's believed to be the latest anti-lockdown protest.
It's understood the demonstrators are holding signs and shouting against Australia's COVID-19 restrictions.

In particular, their signs take umbrage with Melbourne's restrictions as the city eclipses the world's record for the longest lockdown.

It follows today's announcement that a Victorian casual teacher has challenged the state's vaccine mandate in the Supreme Court.
Belinda Cetnar has launched legal proceedings in order to procure an interlocutory injunction against the mandatory vaccine mandate for school and childcare staff.
New York's demonstrations also follow fears that the recent Victorian protests were in fact 'super spreader' events, with members of the CFMEU, police and protesters now testing positive for COVID-19.
