Canberra United has lured the daughter of a retired Socceroos great back to the capital as their latest signing for the upcoming summer.

Former Academy young gun Mikayla Vidmar, who's father Tony represented Australia 76 times, has agreed to a Canberra return, after plying her trade in Adelaide for the past two seasons.
She'll be unveiled as the club's latest signing on Thursday morning alongside fellow former Academy graduate Alexia Karrys-Stahl.
"Being part of the Canberra United Academy, we would always watch the Canberra United games," Mikayla Vidmar said.
"We had some girls in the academy who were also in and out of Canberra United, training and playing so they were always girls we looked up to.

"The environment and atmosphere at the games has always been incredible. The support and unity you feel is like nothing else, and it has always been something I wanted to be a part of."
Vidmar joined the Academy from Woden Valley SC where she started playing aged 12, and has spent the last few years with Adelaide City, winning a premiership in 2019.
Karrys-Stahl came through the ranks with Gungahlin United, and represented the Young Matildas at the under-17s AFC Championship qualifiers in Malaysia.
"It has always been a goal of mine to represent my home town," Karrys-Stahl said.
